*Care: Hand wash before using. Hand wash only, after washing allow to dry complete leaving it on a dish drying rack.  Do not store when wet  

This technique is called "Tlahuiltecóatl": it is a natural mineral pigment with hair. The piece is pulled out of the kiln while red hot, to which the hair is applied. The hot plate burns the hair and is imprinted on the surface.  With proper care it can last many years for generations to come, because it has been fused to the plate.
